Two words. Care Bears. When we got this call, my childhood dreams were coming to life. Yes Care Bears still exsist and they are better than ever. House of fete was to design a party for their newest addition, togetherness bear. A tie dye rainbow bear, unique, inclusive and absolutely perfect for house of fete.
We wanted to make this one big party and invite ALL The BEARS, no color left behind. We were channeling all the rainbow vibes and the essence of the Care Bears as a whole.
We fashioned a cloud shape table that Marissa and her husband build, painted ans adored with fluffy cloud. Each scallop of the cloud was set for a different bear. The plate was their belly and a hand painted cookie symbolized each of their belly badges.
The center of the table was covered in confetti, rainbow garlands, Care bear coins and more cookies than you can imagine!
What’s a party with out balloons- we wanted to have a few colorful backdrops at the shoot to have as much rainbow and color as possible! A giant balloon rainbow by the collective creative co was just the answer. We finished it with fluffy white clouds and a Better Together neon sign. On the other side of the party we made a custom Care Bears stripped mural. Starting on the wall and cascading onto the floor under the table it brought each color of the bear to life and gave us the most amazing photos.
Togetherness bear was the guest of honor so we wanted to make sure the tie dye was represented through out the party. We had some of our amazing vendors work this detail into their creations. Soirée macarons made the most beautiful tie dye Macs, the inside of the cake by the sugar bug was the dye in every color possible. The kids even had care bear party hats with a tie dye glitter base. I didn’t forget about the accessories and tie dye bows from Honey and Grey was the cherry on top.
Apart from deigning this set. Marissa and I actually LOVED the day. We were in rainbow heaven and the entire party came together without a hitch. We got to hang together and chat about how House of Fete started and what we love about parties! It was really the best day and such a magical opportunity. Thank you the amazing opportunity to work together Care Bears! We couldn’t be more grateful!
